Roughly 250 ACE members attended the annual meeting, held June 3 during a brunch at The Garland in North Hollywood. During the meeting, ACE president Kevin Tent, ACE, welcomed the newest members of ACE, who were presented with their member plaques.

Committee work was recognized with some updates. Among them, the Animation Committee recently created a testimonial video to demystify the job of animation editing with directors, editors and other film professionals. Next, it’s working on a student animatic editing project.

The Connect Committee is planning sponsored lunches between Life Members and ACE Members to share stories and history. The Diversity in Editing Mentorship Committee relaunched its Fireside Chat series with a one-onone interview with Terilyn A. Shropshire, ACE, moderated by Jacques Gravett, ACE.

The International Partnership Program has now accepted 11 editors for IPP membership with more applicants pending review. The Social Committee held a bowling day on Super Bowl Sunday and a spring tour of the Japanese Garden at The Huntington. Upcoming plans include a food walking tour in November.

During the meeting, ACE interns Daniela Bond and Alyssa Hance shared their experiences in the program and thanked their mentors and all who offered them education and guidance. ACE wishes to thank meeting sponsor Adobe, which demoed Premiere Pro during the event.
