EditFest is a rare opportunity for students and others interested in editing to not only hear from some of the best editors in the business but to get to know them in a more personal setting. Mentorship and education are two of ACE’s highest priorities and this event is a great example of how our organization is working to highlight and celebrate editing and editors while introducing the craft to a new generation of editing professionals.
The American Cinema Editors is an honorary society founded in 1950 by editors who wanted to create a forum to honor their profession. There were 108 editors at that first meeting. Today we number over 1,000 members, from all over the world and, like those who came before us, we wish to educate others about our craft, and our dedication to advancing the art and dignity of the editing profession.
